Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 14 April 2025 · Effective: 14 April 2025
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Wibawa Law website. They do not constitute the terms of any legal engagement. The terms governing a solicitor-client relationship are set out separately in an engagement letter issued at the outset of each matter.
1. Operator of This Website
This website is operated by Wibawa Law, an advocate and solicitor practice registered in Malaysia, with its principal office at 56, Persiaran Tropicana, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. References in these Terms to "the Firm", "we", and "us" are references to Wibawa Law.
Enquiries regarding these Terms may be directed to [email protected] or by telephone to +60 3-7726 5849.
2. Access to and Use of This Website
Access to this website is provided on the basis that visitors use it for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You may access and view the content of this website for personal, non-commercial, and informational purposes.
You may not:
- reproduce, distribute, or republish content from this website without the Firm's prior written consent;
- use this website in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair its operation or interfere with any other person's use;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website or its underlying systems;
- use automated means to extract data from this website other than through facilities expressly provided for that purpose.
3. Nature of Content — Not Legal Advice
The content published on this website — including descriptions of practice areas, procedural summaries, and references to Malaysian law — is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, and it does not create a solicitor-client relationship between the reader and the Firm.
Legal questions depend on the specific facts of a matter, the applicable law at the relevant time, and other considerations that cannot be assessed through a general website. Nothing on this website should be acted upon without first seeking specific legal advice from a qualified practitioner who has been given full instructions on the relevant facts.
The Firm accepts no responsibility for any action taken or not taken in reliance on the general information published here.
4. Currency and Accuracy of Information
The Firm makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of this website is accurate and current. However, the law changes, and the Firm does not warrant that the content of this website reflects the current state of Malaysian law at any particular time. The information published here is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
The Firm reserves the right to modify, withdraw, or update content on this website at any time and without notice.
5. Enquiry Submissions
If you submit an enquiry through the contact form on this website, your submission does not create a solicitor-client relationship. The Firm will consider your enquiry and respond in due course, but is under no obligation to accept instructions arising from a website enquiry.
Before accepting instructions, the Firm will conduct a conflict-of-interest check and may request further information from you. An engagement commences only upon the execution of a written engagement letter.
You should not include in a website enquiry any confidential information that you would not want to disclose prior to confirmation that the Firm is in a position to act for you.
6. Intellectual Property
The content of this website — including text, layout, structure, and the Firm's name and logo — is the property of Wibawa Law or its licensors and is protected by Malaysian copyright law. All rights are reserved.
You may print or download a single copy of content from this website for your personal, non-commercial use, provided that you retain all copyright and other proprietary notices. No other use is permitted without the Firm's express prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Links
This website may contain links to external websites operated by third parties. These links are provided for convenience only. The Firm does not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content of any third-party website linked from this site. Visiting a linked website is at your own risk, and the Firm recommends that you review the terms and privacy policy of any external site before providing information to it.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, the Firm excludes all liability for loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or any content on it — including loss arising from reliance on information published here, from interruption or unavailability of the website, or from viruses or other harmful components that may be transmitted in connection with your use of this website.
Nothing in these Terms limits the Firm's liability for fraud or for any matter that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
9. Regulatory Information
Wibawa Law is a practice of Advocates and Solicitors admitted to the Malaysian Bar and subject to the Legal Profession Act 1976 and the rules and directions of the Bar Council of Malaysia. The Firm's practice is regulated by the Bar Council. In the event of a professional complaint, a client may refer the matter to the Bar Council through its established processes.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising from your use of this website are governed by the laws of Malaysia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia in relation to any such dispute.
11. Amendments to These Terms
The Firm may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The revised Terms take effect from the date on which they are published. Continued use of this website after a revision is published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend that you review this page periodically.
